Bridgend MP Madeleine Moon recently made a very generous donation to the Bridgend Schools Football Association. Madeleine is a good friend of the BSFA and her contribution to its operation is one that is very gratefully recieved by all at BSFA.
Cup Fixtures First Round
The BSFA Challenge Cup first groups fixtures are taking place upto half term, with over 24 schools competing against each other for a place in the quarter finals of the cup & plate!
Cup & Plate Finals Plans
The BSFA Challenge Cup & Plate will be held at Cae Gof Football Fields, Cefn Cribbwr on Tuesday 22nd June. Starting at 5:15pm.
Bridgend District Win Historic First Ever Match
The Bridgend Schools District side made history yesterday – after winning their first ever game against the Vale of Glamorgan at St. John’s School.
The first ever district goal was scored by Elias Youseff (Sger), who netted two in the first half; along with Ioan Clatworthy (Nottage), A-J Harrison-Wilson (Pil) and Will Prosser (Litchard).
District Trials Looming
The BSFAs first ever district team will be meeting for trials next Tuesday at Corneli Primary School. The coaching staff will then select a squad from those players to play a series of friendlies over the summer term.
BSFA Annouce Cup Final Venue
The BSFA is pleased to announce that the BSFA Challenge Cup Final will be held at the Brewery Field, Bridgend on Sunday 29th May. the venue is part of an exciting partnership which is being formed between the BSFA & Bridgend Town AFC.
